The fresco is located on the left wall of the nave between the chapel of Saint Blaise and that of the Rosary. It originally decorated the southernmost exterior wall of Casa Carcereri near the church. It was detached, restored and moved to its current location in 1938 in order to protect it from the dangers of time.
The fresco, attributed to the circle of artist Francesco Marone, dates back to 1520 and consists of three panels depicting various subjects. The central panel depicts the Annunciation while Veronica and Saint Antonio Abbot stand on either side.
